Spot the difference – one good – one bad. They also make Elemeno P look silly with them.

you should flick an email to admedia – they always love putting copy stuff in

I dunno, I’m in two minds about this. The CV video was the start of the lipdubbing craze, every video from then on was a tribute – this one included.

I just get a little sick when businesses use what’s worked on the internet in ad campaigns. We’ve seen a lot of this in South Africa, where the OK Go treadmill vid was used for an ad for a telecom company MTN – the list continues.

hardly a rip off. like what was posted above, just a tribute video. http://vimeo.com/899301

just another thought – we the digerati think it’s lame – but look at the mass market – maybe they actually kind of like the ad – they haven’t seen the original so maybe to them it’s cool…no?

I agree they copied an idea which at this point no one owns the rights to.

I think CV should be proud to have come up with something original and worthy of being copied on such a large scale.

elemenop blow. video blows. advertising doesn’t excite me either. i can’t get worked up over nothing.

This is one of the most ‘try hard’ adverts out there. It’s so obvious that it’s staged. Argh I watched it once, and every time it comes on, I channel surf or run for the mute button, it hurts.

We also made a LipDub. Have a look at http://www.universitylipdub.com

I think the really sad thing is, is that people were angry when they found out that ‘McCullum & Partners” wasn’t real.

  12. Hamish Says:

Its a ad…its designed to show off Telecom Products in a business “fun” enviroment… people can get angry and critizise it but really in the big picture its only a ad designd to promote telecom…people need to get a life and stop having a cry about something so small!!

[...] I’ve been thinking lately that customer service will be the difference in these ‘tough economic times’. It was a good experience. Nice one Telecom and I’m a little sorry for my previous post on how I said you copied TV ads. [...]
